Relaunching!

You should always have me time. It's something that we all hear so often but sometimes that just isn't manageable!

I've been quiet of late but had a few family members & friends being ill & going through tough times so priorities changed very quickly. Sadly with that & work, I have on average 2 days off a fortnight & need to squeeze in making stuff time, I burnt myself out.
But I'm back! Feeling a bit refreshed, although not to look at, with lots of exciting things going on!
For those of you close to Liverpool or who like shopping here, have you been to The Duke Street Bazaar yet?!

Situated on its namesake, Duke Street, right around the corner from Liverpool One it is a rare species as its run by independent businesses selling everything from art, vintage clothing, home wares, antiques, collectables, comic figures as well as vinyls & handmade treasures!

We staff it ourselves so you'll always meet a member of staff for real love for the place & what we do!

One of a few vintage retailers! Blond Pineapple!

Sadly it's closing…nah I'm kidding…we are shutting for a few days to give the place even more of a makeover (it used to be a sign making shop!) & RELAUNCHING on the 5th June!
Stix Creations

Girl On Purl Action of course!
Its like a Tardis in here!

Pretty Flamingo!

There will be complimentary drinks & cake for having a browse (you lucky lot) plus live music & all the business owners will be there to answer any questions, help source anything you are after plus take commissions!
Everyone is very kindly offering 10% off all their wears for the evening so why not eh? Treat yourself!
The Facebook event is here…
But you can also follow us on Facebook & Instagram!
The great thing about the place is that stock changes DAY-BY-DAY! I was in Thursday putting in new stock as where 3 others!
Looking forward to seeing you all there!

If you are not from Liverpool do you have anything like this where you are from? I love a good independent!

There's a new adventurer in town....

I would like to introduce you all to my new logo for Girl On Purl Action by the very talented Orion
Zangara !

Isn't she awesome?!

My old logo had served me will since I launched the craft meetings over 2 years ago but I always felt that she didn't capture me or what my business was entirely about (although I had designed her)!

This logo suits my quirkiness whilst still capturing the retro and fun side to things. She is a girl of action, surviving with the tools of her trade and I'll be entirely honest that the Kraken style monster holds no symbolism other than this I really like pirate-y related things and this was what I've always wanted! :)

The other gal will still be around but I'm keeping her for all of my wedding related things (I have cake toppers coming soon!) as that's where she fits best :)

What do you think?
