The Wedding Flowers....Part Two - The Aftermath

This summer my beautiful cousin got married and I have the pleasure of making her decorations for the wedding as well as all her bridal flowers and the bridesmaids flowers! :)
A vintage wedding

Bunting & pom-poms galore!

But what do you do with hand made flowers after the wedding?

Well for a month or two they sat in a box, an unwieldy keepsake from a beautiful day. The whole idea of them was that they could be kept instead of freezing a bit of wedding cake...

So I took them back. It was horrible to be honest, they where my pride and joy on the day but sat in my cold craft room with the kitten meowing outside the door (she's not allowed in) with them all in an ASDA bag they had lost all their charm. I also did not want to see them again as they had taken so long to do! ;)
Heart shaped pin-board
But after an hour of carefully removing the millions of pins out of them, a heart shaped pin board and some hot glue later we had this...

TA-DA!!

The brides flowers on the top right...
Now they are just as charming as before and are going to look wonderful hanging on the wall of their happy home as a beautiful bright reminder of that gorgeous day! :)

Bridesmaids flowers over the rest...
Special thanks to the new Mrs Dillion for the photographs after I forgot to take them & for also making my bunting pics the front cover of their wedding book. Honoured.

My wedding flowers are available through direct email, girlonpurlaction@live.com, as they take a lot of planning or through Bella Nuvia Bridal shop; 44 Christchurch Road, Prenton, Merseyside, CH43 5SF

What keepsakes do you have from your wedding?
